As far back as I can remember I have felt different from others. Even as my awareness of that difference dawned on me, my passion for the arts and photography in particular helped to define and give meaning to my separation from the norms of convention. As I move through my surroundings I often find pictures within pictures and these are the images I seek to capture. The view behind the camera is a filter transferring the images of mental sight into an external image that can be seen and felt by others.

My work invites the viewer to look beyond the exterior surface of things, to view the interior life. The soul made manifest. The resulting image becomes as much a photo of myself from the inside, a recreation of the images I see within the whole.
